Concerto is an imposing two-storey log house, simple shape of which is framed with ephemeral pillars.

Concerto’s roof has a slight unilateral slant that makes the building look more open and stresses the elegance of the facade. Horizontal plank lining stresses the purity of the surfaces while the vertical dark-green emphasises details. Bedrooms with their own balconies and the outdoor terrace ensure sunny relaxation in the fresh air.

The living room is combined with the kitchen, comprising an open and airy space that permeates both storeys. Lower storey also has the study-library, one bedroom, bathroom, sauna and the auxiliary room. Car parking space cover runs alongside the rear of the house and can be converted into a garage.

Second storey includes two bedrooms accessible via the gallery-balcony from around the living room. These bedrooms have separate showers.

PALMATIN CUSTOMER STORY

Family Nõupuu (Log home Noupuu)

We have already suggested Palmatin to many people who came to see the house while we were building it up. Everybody who saw the house liked it very much. We are very satisfied how the services were provided; we always had necessary information about our order.

Wall types

  • Stone facade

It is possible to use different stone materials as wall coverings. It is possible to choose from brick, decorative stone, etc. If you use stone as your external wall covering, a special cement board is installed on the prefabricated wall and the stone material will be installed thereupon on the site. In the case of stone covering, a wider foundation must be built to support the wall covering.

  • Rendered facade

It is similar to a stone facade, a special cement board will be installed on the prefabricated walls. The rendering of the facade will take place on the site.

  • Wooden boarding

With wooden facade you have many additional options. You may choose between different cladding profiles, types of wood and the manners of treatment of the wood (varnished, painted, impregnated, etc.) Treated wooden cladding will be installed on the prefabricated walls at the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a log house settle?

It depends on the profile of the logs used. For solid log profiles the settlement is about 3-4% for every meter of height. If glued laminated log profiles are used you will have settlement around 1%. Since the settlement is taken into notice during the engineering process you can move into your new home right away.

What changes can I make to Palmatin house models?

All our house models are thought out to be energy-efficient, comfortable, spacious, functional, and affordable. We are designing houses for any kind of families and suiting various locations and environments. However, we also understand that a home has to be unique and correspond to its owners, this is why it is possible to customized all Palmatin models. Very often, the final house doesn’t have much left from the model, but a house model is a good start as a base, as an inspiration and to understand the needs. You can pick a house model and discuss your needs and the transformations you would like to bring in order to create a perfect and unique house.

Does a log house / prefabricated need to be built during summer?

Compare to other and more standard buildings, the log houses are easy and fast to assemble. As the houses are manufactured first in the factory, they can be delivered and assembled on the construction site at any moment of the year. However, it is important to keep a construction site clean from snow, leaves or debris, to ensure the safety of the workers and the good organisation on the site.

Are the measurements of the house limited?

The ceiling height of a house is mainly dictated by the size of the house and its architecture. However, Palmatin house models have a standard room height of about 6,7m. Some Palmatin houses have a room height of 3,6m. The tallest house models with two floors, proposed by Palmatin is 7,2m.
